we are half way there!

i havent blogged since February... ( i know horrible right?) here's what has been going on since then... Ryker man has gotten all his casts off and had a surgery and all they did was make a little incision and snip his achilles tendon so that he will be able to move his feet all around! now he has  a brace on that he has already had on for a little more than a month! soon he will only have to wear them at nap and bed time! which will be amazing!! today is Ryker's 6 month "birthday" he is getting soo big!! on Saturday Zach had left for his Army Duties and was going to be gone for a minute (i cant really say anything because of OPSEC)... Zach was sick before he left and said that he started to feel better as soon as he got there.. well Ryker and I were NOT feeling good at all so we stayed inside all day Saturday. that night things got kinda hard! it was our first night without Zach, I couldnt sleep and Ryker was super frustrated! i noticed that something was wrong.. so i thought to fix the problem that we would just go to sleep and see how things would be in the morning. so i FINALLY got him to sleep at midnight and then he woke up at  3 and 5 and thats when we went out and sat on the couch and watched some tv, he ended up going back to sleep from 6-8am and when he woke up at 8 i really knew that something was wrong! :( i called my mom and she told me to do what I thought was right so i took him up to Primary Children's in Salt Lake. we got up there at around 9-9:30 and then we had to wait... and wait ... and wait some more. . . (i hate waiting) we did a couple of tests and then the resident dr came in and said that he has to have emergency surgery because his shunt was failing (this is shunt revision number 2 and the same thing happened the first time)... so i called Zach and let him know what was going on and everything and he talked to his sergeants and they said that this was something to come home for... so i had to deal with the Red Cross all day (literally all day from 10am Sunday morning until 6:30am Monday morning!) and we finally got him on a flight home! and got to pick him up Monday night (which was the best treat i could ever want!!!) so this entire week we have been hanging out together and trying to help Ryker recover! while we have been relaxing (with me still watching my siblings) i have finished mothers day presents for my mom and my mother-in-law! they have turned out so cute... and the only problem is that there is like a whole other week until Mothers Day!! :( and that means another week until my one year wedding anniversary!! YAY!
